His Acoustic guitar seems to have its own gravity, really telling you what you need to know as Manuel Hermia (tenor sax) and Chris Joris (drums) enter the framework."

"First off I don’t think it’s far fetched for me to say that this one of the most beautiful pieces of music written (in my opinion of course) There’s a simple beauty throughout this entire song that I always struggle to put into words. The constant F pedal note, the fact that there is so much space yet everything feels incredibly intimate.

In 10 seconds you have so many complex emotions happening. The build up and tension that gives way to this incredible release, it’s a truly inspiring piece of music."

"I really struggled to just pick ten seconds here. Every line is infectious, memorable and unique. I cant help but sing along when I hear this line in particular. Listening to Meu Pai (and Guinga in general) really helped show me what’s important in music. Feeling, this song could be played with a room full of musicians or just Guinga by himself but how this music feels will still be the most important thing (to me at least)."
